Brita Standard Pitcher

The People’s Filter. Brita is the most popular water filter in America with good reason: it’s cheap, widely available, and improves water taste dramatically.

But “improves taste” is a long way from “protects your health.”

What Brita does well:

Removes chlorine and chloramine (improves taste noticeably)

NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 certified
Affordable entry point ($25 + $7 filters)
Over-the-counter replacement filters

What Brita doesn𔄁t do:

Remove PFAS (“forever chemicals”) — our testing showed less than 30% reduction
